so because i'm starting to get sick of my research & timeripple insisted, i'm doing a post at long last.  things have been busy & i suppose it serves me right to have taken a history course in the summer when it's so hot & humid that i can't concentrate & don't want to do anything even though i have to write a research paper at the end of it all.

today was uber nasty weather-wise.  90 degree weather & lots of humidity.  naturally it was also the day i had an appointment with the allergist to get tested (finally).  so in addition to enduring the nasty dirty-sauna-like weather, i had to suffer through a series of large itchy bumps on my arms to determine what i was allergic to ( Read more... )

as usual, my plans to be more diligent about posting have gone astray.  however, i am finally done with the spring semester & it was a bit of a doozy.  so glad that's over, but now it's the start of summer classes.  i had one weekend of summer vacay, & now it's back to the grind.  i think everything's over by the first or second week of august, ( Read more... )

i have recently returned home from my trip to boston, & though i thoroughly enjoyed my visit (mostly due to the wonderfulness that is timeripple - thanx for acting as hostess & putting up with me!!! ), it felt really nice to be home.  you can bop over to F's page to see what we did as F generally describes these kinds of things so much better than myself.

i've finally made use of my b&n gift card that i've had since my birthday (compliments of my cell group - thanks to all, though i don't think any of them actually read this) & instead of getting books, which i'm quite sure most assumed i would be using if for, i took the opportunity to expand my dvd collection, which had been sorely lacking.  ( Read more... )

so i went to a wedding this past saturday, & i suppose it was alright, as far as weddings go.  i've come to the conclusion that weddings are most fun under the following circumstances:
1.  you attend as a guest
2.  you are good friend of the bride/groom or both
3.  you are good friends with most, if not all of the other guests
4.  food & music are good
